Comemmorative Brew

We harvested historic hops grown on site to once again bring a local brew for the 150th Gabriels Gully Celebrations in March 2011.  It was only available onsite and was well received.(especially with local connoisseurs)

Just like Dayze of old – The Brewery was drunk dry – TWICE!!

Cheers

Beer Description

Black Horse Dark - “The Original Miners Choice” - A smooth, dark stout using traditional European roasted malts, it's fermented with a true top-fermenting ale yeast, which also produces a smooth creamy head. 5% ABV.

Black Horse Gold - “Join the Goldrush” - A deep gold, almost copper-coloured, India Pale Ale, a style that originated to supply British troops overseas in the 18th Century. Deliciously hoppy, and strong in flavour. 5% ABV.

Velvet Hart - “Smooth and Sensual” - A musky sweet blend of Black Horse Dark and Raspberry. 3% ABV.

Golden Daffodil - “Hart of Gold” - A light, refreshing blend of Black Horse Gold and Lemonade.  An easy drinking 2.5% ABV.

'Dry hopping' refers to the late addition of hops to the beer, which imparts more aroma than hop bitterness. The use of the historic hops will give a fruity, almost resin-like aroma to the beers.
