Vintage Rhododendron Forest

The rhododendrons were also planted in 1895 and have reverted to their natural state, growing to a height of between 6 & 8 metres.

Les Cleveland identified some as being pink ponticum varieties, but as we thin the sycamore growth and allow more light in, other varieties are evident.

We aim to propagate and preserve the Rhododendrons.

As with other plants at the Brewery, we experience a late season with mid to late November being the prime time to see the Rhododenrons in their magnificence.
